New Earth cafe staff were harassed by local police 17 times for not wearing a mask. Even though the cafe owners and staff are all medically exempt. One of visits resulted in the owner Sarah Parson’s arrest. They have received multiple fines and court costs up to $10,000. Not only were the police harassing the owners and the staff but the customers as well. But after several months the fines have been dropped as none of the charges held up in court. Ben and Sarah Parsons are so happy and relieved with these results and couldn’t thank everyone for a better outcome. The cafe was overwhelmed with support from the local community and they hope they can go back to a more normal running on the cafe.
