Meanwhile Ocasio Cortez made several nonsensical statements about history, the civil war, and Abraham Lincoln. She claimed Dred Scott impeded Lincoln so he issued the Emancipation Proclamation which just utterly makes no sense as none of these things line up time wise.

Dred Scott was 4 years before Lincoln and the emancipation proclamation was 2 years into the civil war. But this s the best Democrats and the corporate press can muster.
