Ex-Con Turned Hero: Good Samaritan Rescues Injured Officer in Houston Shootout

"I'm here with you!" Ex-con John Lally rescued and comforted an injured police officer in the middle of a chaotic shootout on a freeway in Houston. "Everybody has a purpose on this earth," he told the injured officer while waiting for paramedics to arrive. "I've been to prison twice... I had no choice but to get out and change my life... it was my calling to be with you here today."
